The Maid occurrence is located on the north western slope of Mount Demers, approximately 1.5 kilometres east of Maid Lake.

The area is underlain by intrusive rocks, primarily quartz diorite and diorite, of the Paleozoic to Jurassic Westcoast Crystalline Complex.

Locally, a 2.0 metre wide shear zone hosting quartz-epidote veins with pyrite, arsenopyrite and sphalerite is hosted in gabbros and/or diorites. Areas of skarn are also present and host sulphide mineralization, primarily magnetite, pyrite and chalcopyrite.

In 2006, grab samples of mineralized skarn assayed up to 35.72 per cent copper, 0.101 per cent zinc and 13.2 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 28635).

In 2012, a grab sample (12DMAO045B) of the mineralized shear zone and veins assayed 11.8 grams per tonne gold, 5.0 grams per tonne silver, 0.149 per cent copper, and greater than 1.0 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 33846). Another grab sample (12DMAO054A) of mineralized quartz veins, taken from across the creek and approximately 350 metres to the east- south east, assayed 0.93 gram per tonne gold and 0.201 per cent copper (Assessment Report 33846).

During 2006 through 2012, the area was prospected and sampled as the Maid 1-2 claims.
